GUIDELINES FOR SANCTUARY
PLEASE COME EARLY TO FIND A SEAT
SEATING…In keeping with the suggestion that we maintain “social distancing”, all families, companions etc. are asked to sit close together on the same pew to reserve space. You will be seated about six feet from the non-family member person(s) beside you, and the pews directly in front of and behind you will be vacant. Those arriving late might be asked to take a seat in the Gym to watch the service on a large 7’ x 14’ Screen with Surround Sound…if the sanctuary is already at capacity when you arrive. So, come early! TCOC members might be asked to accommodate guest seating in the sanctuary by relocating to the gym. The two back rows will be reserved for for guests who arrive late, so please observe the signage denoting reserved seating.
FACE MASKS….Everyone is encouraged to wear a face mask for your protection, as well as to protect those around you who might be more susceptible to the virus. You are asked to wear a mask from your vehicle to your seat inside the church. Once you are seated, If there is a sufficient distance between you and those around, you may feel free to remove your mask. Then, when you leave your seat after service, please replace your face mask until you are back at your vehicle. The Ladies Book Club has hand-made 100 washable face masks that are available until the supply is exhausted. Also, there are disposable face masks at the foyer entrance. You are welcome to take one of these free masks.
FELLOWSHIP….Please maintain a social distance of six feet from your fellow member before and after church services. This is an almost impossible request for an Apostolic Pentecostal Church! However, for the time being, this is likely the most prudent path to take for everyone. A friendly wave of the hand, an elbow bump etc. must suffice until the worst has passed.
HVAC AIR FILTERS….Denser HVAC filters have been installed in all air-conditioning returns as an extra precaution against the virus.
HAND SANITIZER…along with Kleenex are provided in the church foyer, and the restrooms have soap and paper towels for washing your hands.
DOOR HANDLES….All church door handles and push plates will be wiped down before, during and after each church service.
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES….Seating in each classroom will be arranged to allow the necessary space for social distancing. Children entering a classroom will be encouraged to wear a mask and to cleanse their hands before being seated. Both face masks and hand sanitizer are provided in every Sunday school classroom. We must reconnect our children with the God of salvation and power. Please come and bring your precious children to church with you.
SYMPTOMS….If you have a fever, or are experiencing symptoms of illness, it is advisable that you remain at home and enjoy the church service by accessing TCOC’s Website. Each Sunday service will be posted by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, and each Wednesday Bible Study will be posted by 12:00 noon on Thursday.
WORSHIP….We Won’t change anything~!!! We are intelligent people. We understand the necessary limitations imposed upon us by a pandemic such as COVID-19. However, we also know that we are God’s People and that “…all things work together for good to them that love God…”. Therefore, we will NOT fear the virus, we will just take the necessary precautions to deal with it. This will NOT prevent us from being who we are! We are The Church, and we will gather in God’s House, and we will worship Him as we always have. Given the circumstances, we’ll probably be louder, longer, stronger and more involved in demonstrative worship and praise than we have been in the past. Come and bring your SHOUT YOUR PRAISE THROUGH THE FACE MASK voice!
