GUIDELINES FOR SANCTUARY PLEASE COME EARLY TO FIND A SEAT SEATING…

GUIDELINES FOR SANCTUARY & GYM SEATING

                                              June 2021

Given the constant state of flux regarding COVID-19 safety guidelines issued by local, state and federal governments, The Church of Columbus chooses to err on the side of caution. Therefore, we ask that everyone please adhere to the following guidelines for the time being:

  1. Wear a mask from the car to the pew, at which time  you are welcome to remove it, then from the pew to the car.
  2. Wear a mask in all common areas (aisles, foyer, hallways, restrooms etc.) where many people might be in closer proximity to one another than while seated.
  3. Maintain social distancing when seated with a pew separating you from the persons in front and behind you. The Gym seating is set up for social distancing with the chairs provided.

When these basic guidelines change we will post the changes here on TCOC’s website. We ask that all members comply as much as possible to make the collective statement that we intend to make The Church the safest environment for gatherings of all public places. We’re trying to draw souls to Jesus, not frighten them away by displaying a careless disregard for their safety.

Masks are a temporary inconvenience, not a permanent prison sentence. By faith the time will come when masks will be totally discarded and we’ll look back on this trying time with thanksgiving, because it helped to mature our faith in God. In the meantime remember this: By demonstrating your concern for the wellbeing of others by wearing a mask, you are saying  your love for souls far outweighs your own personal preferences.

Prov. 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
